Drills

Established since 1834, The Drill's department continues to offer an extensive range of fully shrunk drills, twills and Panama's in both Poly/Cotton and 100% Cotton. These fabrics perform to the highest quality standards required from the Workwear, catering and fashion sector. We can also apply a range of finishes to these fabrics to meet customer needs, such as: Pigment Print Designs, Discharge Printing, Teflon, Teflon HT, Brushing, Anti Static and Anti-bacterial. In addition, we stock Fire Resistant fabrics including a range of PROBAN which is for the Workwear sector, starting from a lightweight pocketing to durable heavyweight cotton drill. These fabrics are fully shrunk to BS1771: Part 1: 1990 and meet the Fire Resistant Workwear spec: EN533: 1997 Index 3, EN531: 1995 PARA 6.2.2, EN470: 1995 Part 1: para 6.1 after 50 washes @ 75 Degrees Celsius. We also offer a quick and efficient readymade service for our customers. We currently supply Overalls, Aprons, Chefs Jackets, Chef's Trousers and can produce a variety of other garments using our traditional "Drills" fabrics to meet our customer's specifications. Products include curtain linings and interlinings, platform linings, schedule 3 interliner and calico's, we also offer a wide range of face fabrics. In addition to these fabrics we can offer a range of ready made cushion pads, chair and seat cushion and back cases in either spunbond for fibre fill or cambric for feather fill. Microquard is an anti-microbial range, which can be produced on any of our polyester designs. Microguard complies with all NHS specifications including the 71C washing standard. All Francis Price Contract fabrics meet BS5867 Part2 Type C. J F Greenwood are leading suppliers of down and feather resistant fabrics to the bedding and upholstery sector. We are stockists of fabrics ranging from 120 cotton count to over 350 cotton count. These fabrics are used in scatter cushions, mattresses as a hair resistant interliner, luxury pillows and duvets. In addition to these fabrics we are suppliers of made up products ready to be filled with polyester, down and feather. We offer a comprehesive range of scatter cushion shells, duvet shells and pillow ticks. We can also offer a bespoke service and our products can be seen in Aircraft Interiors as bedding and headrest covers, both Flame Retardant and Non Flame Retardant. We also supply fabrics to the rail industry to be used as headrest covers and as barrier fabrics in seating. The most widely used FR is the recognised "Proban" brand.
